Start on Your Road to Success, with Southwest Truck Driver Training

Road to Success

The argument for starting a career as a truck driver is a pretty easy one to make. The trucking industry is expected to grow by 11% through the year 2022, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In addition, the U.S. is experiencing a shortage of professional truck drivers. This adds up to job security for current professional truck drivers, and basically ensures that newly-licensed CDL holders will find employment very quickly after trucking school. Then, once you're on the road, you'll find that you very much enjoy the feeling of having more control over your time, vs. the typical job where a boss is looking over your shoulder most of the day. So yeah, the argument for why you should begin a career in tucking pretty much makes itself. You'll find that the same goes for why you should choose Southwest Truck Driver Training as your CDL training academy.

SWTDT has been family-owned and operated since the company opened its doors in 1999. We serve many people throughout the Southwest, looking to obtain his or her (or his AND hers) CDL(s). This includes locations in Phoenix, Tucson, and Las Vegas. We want our drivers to be successful after they finish their training, and we assist them in doing what it takes to get there. Trucking companies know this, which is why so many of them are willing to guarantee future employment to students even before they have completed our program. In some cases, they will even reimburse our students for the cost of tuition, all because they know that these future truckers are getting some of the best training available at SWTDT.

One reason why we have such a good reputation among your future employers is that our faculty are not only experienced former drivers themselves, but they are also continuously reviewing and updating cirriculum to keep up with current industry standards and practices. And because we keep class sizes small, trucking companies know that you will receive that attention you deserve; the attention needed to teach you how to confidently and competently handle a big rig.

Another way that SWTDT is different, which we alluded to earlier, is that we genuinely feel that the student is the most important person on campus. Without them, we would not exist. You, our students, are not some enrollment statistic. You aren't a means to allowing us to do our thing. You ARE our thing. We want to make sure that you're happy, and that you future employers are happy with your level of training. You are the reason why we are in business.

Before we go, we just want to mention one more thing that is near and dear to our hearts, and that is our nation's veterans and active duty military. We are committed to serving those who have served. We have many benefits reserved exclusively for our military men, women, and their spouses. Click here to learn more.
